The Blood Transfusion Centre of the Luxembourg Red Cross (hereinafter referred to as the “CTS”) places great importance on the protection of personal data and the respect of privacy. Therefore, we wish to provide you with transparent information about how your data is collected via our website, how it is processed, and what rights you have.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING
- Purpose and legal basis of processing
We process your personal data as part of the management of appointments with the CTS.
This processing is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a of the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting CTS at: transfusion.gdpr@croix-rouge.lu. - Categories of data processed
In accordance with the law, CTS only collects data necessary for carrying out its mission. This data is treated confidentially and is not shared with any commercial company or other organization, whether Luxembourgish or foreign.
The personal data we collect when scheduling an appointment includes mainly:
• Identification data (first name, last name, gender, date of birth);
• Contact details (postal address, email address, phone number);
• Donor-related data (new donor, existing donor);
• Appointment-related data (reason for the visit, date, time, location, etc.). - Retention period
Your personal data related to appointments will be added to your personal file and kept as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above, especially to ensure traceability of donations, for up to the maximum duration provided by law (which may be up to 30 years from the date of your last donation).
If an appointment does not take place, the data related to the booking will be deleted - Data recipients
CTS treats your data with strict confidentiality and only shares it with third parties when necessary and in accordance with the law.
In the context of appointment booking, please note that your data will be collected and processed by our service provider Doctena, solely for managing and organising your appointment. Access to your data is strictly limited to what is necessary for the service, and Doctena is bound by the same confidentiality and data protection obligations as CTS. - Your rights
In accordance with the law, you have the following rights:
• The right to be informed. We hope this notice has answered your questions.
• The right to free access to your data.
• The right to rectify data if it is incorrect or outdated.
• The right to file a complaint with the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) if you believe your data is not being processed lawfully.
In certain cases and under the conditions provided by law, you also have:

• The right to request the restriction of processing.
• The right to object to data processing on legitimate grounds.
• The right to data portability (i.e. to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format), where technically feasible.

The personal data collected in connection with your request is mainly your email address, and any data you choose to provide by email. - Retention period

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM REGISTRATION

We process your personal data to manage your registration in the ambassador programme.
This processing is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR).

As with all CTS activities, only necessary data is collected and kept confidential. No data is shared with commercial entities or foreign organisations.
Data collected during registration includes:
• Identification data (name, first name, language);
• Contact details (email address, phone number). - Unsubscribing
Ambassadors may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in emails or by writing to: transfusion.gdpr@croix-rouge.lu. - Data recipients
The CTS handles your data confidentially. In the context of the ambassador programme, your data is processed by the Luxembourg Red Cross communication department. Access to data is strictly limited to what is necessary for running the programme. - Your rights

BROWSING DATA
Each time you visit our website, usage data is transmitted by your browser and stored in log files. These may include date and time of visit, page name, data volume transmitted, etc. These files cannot be linked to a specific person and are used solely to ensure the safe operation of the website and improve our services.

When you contact us (for example via the appointment form or by email) or when you accept certain types of cookies, your personal data is collected. This includes in particular :
– your identification data (email address, etc.) ;
– your browsing data (IP address, browsing preferences, cookies, etc.);
– any other personal data that you have indicated in your communications.
2.WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?
We collect and process the above-mentioned data in order to respond to your request, communicate with you, improve the performance of our website and compile statistics.
This processing is carried out on the basis of your consent or the legitimate interests pursued by the CTS.
3.HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
Data is kept for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected and for no longer than is required by law.

Your data is treated confidentially and is only shared with third parties where necessary and in accordance with the law. These third parties may include our IT subcontractors, who are subject to the same legal obligations regarding the protection of personal data. Such access to your personal data is strictly limited to the minimum necessary for the provision of services.
