Not much longer than donating blood,
but just as important.
Why donate plasma?
Plasma makes up about half the volume of blood, and it’s particularly precious. It is used mainly in the preparation of vital medicines for certain patients suffering from rare and/or immune diseases.
It is also used to treat burn victims, the seriously injured and people in intensive care. Donating plasma, like donating blood, saves many lives!
Who can donate?
Meeting health and safety criteria is essential for donating plasma. Find out about the specific requirements.
